For noen er den det ekleste stykke LC produsert, for noen den mest unike, til og med den peneste. Helt klart diskuterbart.
Men en ting er sikkert, 55-serien ble ikke designet for å gjøre den mannlige eller kvinnelige sjåføren penere, men heller
for å videreføre og ta eventyrmulighetene i en 4x4 videre til et nytt nivå.
-55'en anses vel for å være overgangen mellom den mer primitive 4x'serien og 6x'serien, som bydde på et stykke mer komfort.
